JUVENILE CURFEW (Maumelle City Code)


Sec. 42-74
It shall be unlawful for any person under 18 years of age to be or remain on the streets within the city at night during the period ending at 5:00 a.m. and beginning:

(1)
At 12:00 midnight on Friday and Saturday nights; and

(2) At 10:00 p.m. on all other nights.

Sec. 42-73. Penalties
(a)
If after the warning notice of a first violation by a juvenile, a second violation occurs by that juvenile. The parent is in violation for neglecting parental responsibilities in connection with this article; and the violation shall be treated as a first offense by parent. For parental offenses, a parent may be fined not less than $100.00, nor more than $500.00

(b) Any juvenile who shall violate any of the provisions of this article mare than three times shall be reported by the chief of police to the juvenile authorities as a juvenile in need of supervision, and the chief of police shall refer the matter to the county prosecuting attorney and/or state department of human services and/or other appropriate authorities.
