Maumelle Police Department K9 Division currently consists of two K9s (Lion and Razor) and two handlers (Sgt. Cory Pickard and Cpl. Dustin Ivey).

Both teams are nationally certified in narcotics detection, tracking and criminal apprehension by the NNDDA.

The K9 Division prides itself in the quality of the K9s effectiveness which is a product of very intense training. Training with the K9s is conducted daily by both teams.

The K9 Division serves not only the City of Maumelle, but assists many Police agencies in the Central Arkansas area. They are ready to serve at any time. K9s are also used to educate the public by conducting demonstrations at schools, churches and many public events.

When not training or working, the K9s stay at home with their handlers and become just household pets.

If you are interested in a K9 team conducting a demonstration for your school, church, etc. send an e-mail by clicking on the CONTACT link above. Include your name, phone number, and what organization you are requesting the demo for. Or you may call the number on the right.
