The Patrol Division of the Maumelle Police Department is the largest division within the department.

This division is responsible for answering the numerous calls for service from the public everyday. These calls range from barking dogs to homicide. Each call taken by the Patrol Division is unique and requires diverse individuals to handle the calls.

Members of the Patrol Division are required to be well rounded and well versed in their knowledge of federal and state laws, as well as city ordinances. The patrol division is the front line of defense for the City of Maumelle.

While you work, play or sleep, remember the Patrol Division is out to protect you.

TIPS TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Criminals look for easy targets. To decrease you chance of becoming a victim, insure all doors are locked.

Keep your property well lit. Motion lights are great for deterring criminals and save on electricity charges.

Report suspicious activity. If something does not look right to you, it is the job of the Police to check out the situation. If everything is fine, there is no loss.

Get to know your neighbors and make an agreement to keep an eye on each others home. You can never have too many people watching. The Police can use all the help possible to prevent crime.

Never walk at night alone and wear highly visible clothing. This will help prevent an attack against you and the chance of being struck by a motorist.
