Training is a vital component of any police department and essential in insuring that Officers and the community they serve remain as safe as possible. This is why the Maumelle Police Department strives to train above and beyond many departments.

The division is comprised of instructors which are specialist in the field(s) they teach. Each instructor is certified by the State of Arkansas. Instructors are required to continue their education in the field they teach

Officers of Maumelle Police Department are encouraged to attend any courses outside of the department. To this end, the Maumelle Police Department's training standards and requirements are very stringent.
RECENT TRAINING NEWS
Once the officers return from a 13 week training academy, they will be under the guidence of field training officer for 1 year. This is to ensure the new officers understand, follow, and are comfortable with the functions of being a police officer in the City of Maumelle.
